Dusts
Learn how to obtain and use Dusts in Slimefun crafting and progression.
Slimefun adds the following 9 dusts as resources:
- Iron Dust
- Gold Dust
- Copper Dust
- Tin Dust
- Silver Dust
- Aluminum Dust
- Lead Dust
- Zinc Dust
- Magnesium Dust
Obtaining
Dusts can be obtained by processing Sifted Ore through an Ore Washer or an Electric Dust Washer. There is an even chance of getting any kind of dust during the process (= ~11.11% chance).
They can also be produced by crushing the corresponding ingot in an Electric Ingot Pulverizer.
Usage
Dusts can be smelted into alloys or their respective ingots in a Smeltery. They can also be smelted in an Electric Ingot Factory (for ingots) or an Electric Smeltery (for alloys).
Aluminum Dust
Aluminum Dust is one of the nine dusts added in Slimefun.
Obtaining
Aluminum Dust has a ~11.11% chance of being extracted from Sifted Ore, by processing it through an Ore Washer or an Electric Dust Washer.
Usage
Aluminum Dust can be smelted into Aluminum Ingots in a Smeltery or an Electric Ingot Factory.
It is also used in the following alloys for the Smeltery or the Electric Smeltery:
... and directly in creating other items:
Aluminum is one of the most used dusts in Slimefun recipes, either as dust or as Aluminum Ingot.
Copper Dust
Copper Dust is one of the nine dusts added in Slimefun.
Obtaining
Copper Dust has a ~11.11% chance of being extracted from Sifted Ore, by processing it through an Ore Washer or an Electric Dust Washer.
Usage
Copper Dust can be smelted into Copper Ingots in a Smeltery or an Electric Ingot Factory.
It is also used in the following alloys for the Smeltery or the Electric Smeltery:
- Bronze Ingot
- Duralumin Ingot
- Billon Ingot
- Brass Ingot
- Corinthian Bronze Ingot
- Nickel Ingot
- Cobalt Ingot

Gold Dust
Gold Dust is one of the nine dusts added in Slimefun.
Obtaining
- Crushing Raw Gold in an Ore Crusher or an Electric Ore Grinder yields one piece of Gold Dust.
- Crushing Gold Ore in an Ore Crusher or an Electric Ore Grinder yields two pieces of Gold Dust, effectively doubling it.
- Gold Dust has a ~11.11% chance of being extracted from Sifted Ore, by processing it through an Ore Washer or an Electric Dust Washer.
- Crushing a 4-carat Gold Ingot or a normal Gold Ingot in an Electric Ingot Pulverizer produces one piece of Gold Dust.
- If you are using the SlimefunOreChunks addon, you can use the same machines to turn Gold Ore Chunks from the GEO Miner into Gold Dust.
Usage
Gold Dust can be smelted into 4-carat to 24-carat Gold Ingots in a Smeltery or an Electric Ingot Factory. It is also used in the Corinthian Bronze Ingot alloy, which can be made in a Smeltery or an Electric Smeltery.
Gold is one of the most used dusts in Slimefun recipes, either as dust or as Gold Ingot.
