Beyond Horizons Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers Beyond Horizons ("we," "us," "the server," or "the Company") and our services, including our Minecraft server, our Discord, and our online store (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you consent to this Policy and to the processing of your data as described here. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.

Beyond Horizons is not affiliated with Mojang AB or Microsoft.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to operate the server, keep it secure, and process store purchases.

1.1. Information you provide

  • Your Minecraft username and UUID when you connect to the server.
  • Information you give us when you contact us, appeal a punishment, or join our Discord (such as your Discord username and the contents of your messages).
  • Purchase information you submit through our store (handled by Tebex, described below).

1.2. Information collected automatically

  • Your IP address and basic connection data.
  • In-game activity and statistics, chat logs, and command usage.
  • Punishment history (warnings, mutes, bans, and related records).
  • Basic technical information needed to run and secure the Services, such as client version and connection timestamps.

1.3. Payment information

When you make a purchase, payment is collected and processed by Tebex (our store and payment provider) and its supported processors. We do not collect or store your full card or banking details ourselves. We only receive confirmation of a completed purchase and the information needed to deliver your items (such as your username and order details).

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the server and Services;
  • Deliver items and privileges you purchase;
  • Moderate the community, enforce our rules, and handle appeals;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to cheating, fraud, security issues, and technical problems;
  • Respond to your questions, requests, and support inquiries; and
  • Communicate important updates about the Services (such as changes, downtime, or resets).

We do not use your information for any purpose beyond operating and protecting the Services and fulfilling your purchases.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

We only share information in the limited circumstances below:

  1. With Tebex (payment processing). Store purchases are processed by Tebex, which handles payment and related data as an independent processor. Your purchases are also subject to Tebex's own privacy practices. You can review Tebex's privacy policy here: https://www.tebex.io/privacy.

  2. With essential service providers. We may rely on trusted providers needed to run the Services (such as our server host and Discord). These providers may only handle information as necessary to provide their service to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. They are bound by strict confidentiality rules, are fully GDPR compliant, and only receive the bare minimum information they need for their lawful purposes, such as securing their firewalls and systems.

  3. For legal reasons. We will only disclose information in response to a valid court order, and where we have a good-faith belief that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request, or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.

That is the full extent of our sharing. We do not transfer your information as part of any sale, merger, or acquisition, and we do not disclose it for any other purpose.

4. Advertising and Tracking

We do not run ads on the Services, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-site/cross-app tracking. Because we do not engage in targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in that regard. We do not build advertising profiles about you or share your data with ad networks.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information only for as long as it is needed to operate the Services and for the purposes described in this Policy. Some records, such as punishment history and purchase records, may be kept longer where necessary to maintain the integrity and security of the server, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information; and
  • Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it for legitimate operational, security, or legal reasons.

To make a request, contact us via the methods in Section 11. We may ask you to verify your identity or ownership of the relevant Minecraft account before acting on a request. Please note that public areas such as in-game chat and Discord may retain messages you have posted, and content shared publicly may remain visible to others.

7. Information Security

We secure our systems with the highest possible countermeasures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no online service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can help protect your account by using a strong, unique password for your Minecraft and Discord accounts and never sharing your login details.

8. Data Breaches

  1. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will take the following actions in compliance with applicable data protection regulations:
    1. Affected parties will be notified within forty-eight (48) hours of us becoming aware of the breach.
    2. We will disclose, to the extent known at the time, the nature of the breach, the categories of information believed to have been compromised, and the timeline of discovery.
    3. Where applicable, we will notify relevant data controllers to facilitate a thorough investigation and ensure appropriate measures are taken in response to the breach.
    4. Any services identified as compromised will be subject to immediate suspension to prevent further unauthorised access. Such services will remain suspended until the source of the breach has been thoroughly investigated and mitigated.
  2. Our Data Protection Officer, Justin, will inform you and provide the next steps in accordance with the above protocol. Our systems are robust and a breach is extremely unlikely, but if one is detected we will take immediate steps to secure all core systems.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in their country). If you are under that age, please do not use the Services without the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date, and material changes will be announced through our Discord. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
